Thursday Morning Confessions: New Year's Edition

Happy New Year, everyone! Due to the overwhelming response, it's once again time for Thursday morning confessions.

I always read the end of the book first. I also look up movie spoilers before I see a movie.

I've read Little Women at least 100 times, and I still think Jo should have married Laurie.

My freshman college roommate snuck in a bottle of Peppermint Schnapp's and we mixed it with hot chocolate. That was my one and only foray into drinking. I know, I'm wild.

I planned to cheat on a Latin test once, but in making the cheat sheet I ended up memorizing all the information and didn't need to cheat.

In the card I gave my sister at her bridal shower, I wrote: "It's not too late to cancel." And I meant it.

I have never, ever, not even once been able to keep a plant alive.

I think Captain Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation is HOT.

Make it so, baby.

Umm, I'm a huge fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Will has a thing for Princess Leia in the metal bikini. (O.K., so not my confession, but I was feeling like a big nerd with all that Star Trek talk.)

My friends and I had an "I hate men" party the night of senior prom because we were all dateless losers.

I laughed at Dick Clark when he was off by one second in the count down to New Year's last night. And I don't even feel guilty about it.

  1. I do spoilers for movies all the time. I stopped reading the end of books because that backfired once, but sometimes I peek still.

I can't WAIT for the new J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie. SO can't wait. I've seen all the TNG movies in the theater with my brother-in-law.

Oh, by the way, the second thing last night on ABC did bug me, but there was an extra second added to the year so I'm wondering if Dick was going off of a clock in studio and the Times Square one added the extra second. It did make things confusing. I mean, where do you add the extra second? I think it was annoying because this is the first year where that was made into a big deal.

Jo definitely should have married Laurie. Amy was a brat and Frederick? Whatever. Maybe he didn't really look like Christian Bale. That would have changed things. :)

    Happy New Year!

  2. So, does this mean that after your extreme makeover you'll be sporting a metal bikini? Actually, forget I asked. That's just more than I need to know :P

  3. I have that card hidden...I keep it in my drawer so I can go back and think "I should have listened to my sister" and dream about all the what ifs that could have been. =]

    Happy New Year Titty!!!! =]

  4. I happen to love next generation, too, but I had my crush on Wesley and his bad sweaters. I look back and laugh because what were the wardrobe people thinking?

Also, sadly, I kinda wish my sister hadn't married who she did. I should have said something. At least you did.

  5. Hmmm, total Star Trek fan, but I do not think Picard is hot. Or any of the rest either.

Jo *totally* should have married Laurie. I have always thought this was a great injustice, and never more so than when I saw Laurie played by Christian Bale.
